Camilla Mankabady, known for her strategic leadership during the Eurovision event in Liverpool, has taken on a new challenge as the Director of Strategic Communications and Corporate Affairs at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. Her move marks a significant step from her former role as the Director of Communications at Liverpool City Council, where she has been a key figure since 2019. Before this, she honed her communication skills internationally, having served as a Senior Media Consultant at Euronews in France. Her media career also includes extensive experience as a Programme Editor at ITV News at Ten and a 15-year tenure at BBC News.
Mankabady expressed her enthusiasm about her new role, describing it as an exciting opportunity to put the Liverpool City Region at the forefront of discussions on devolution.
