Carousel Agency has made a series of key appointments aimed at strengthening its leadership team and enhancing its strategic direction. Tom Cummings steps into the role of deputy managing director. Cummings, who has been with the agency for two years, transitions from his previous role as the first-ever director of strategy, where he successfully drove client and new business strategy. His new responsibilities include overseeing significant accounts like People’s Postcode Lottery and managing the agency’s international communications across the UK, US, LATAM, and Australia for clients such as Wrexham Lager and Teletrac Navman.
Rebecca Barnes has been promoted to senior board director, a recognition of her dedication and contributions over her 12-year tenure with the agency. Barnes will continue to oversee MGA Entertainment and spearhead efforts for new business development.
In another strategic move, Chloe Sharp has been elevated to director of social media. In this capacity, Sharp is entrusted with developing and leading the growth strategy for the agency’s acclaimed social media division. Her promotion follows her five-year tenure at Carousel, marked by notable achievements in expanding the department’s offerings.
The agency has recognized Sarah Spencer with a promotion to senior account director, following her impressive work in overseeing and enhancing the agency’s client relationships, including key partnerships with Cotton Traders and Beam.
In addition to these internal promotions, Carousel has expanded its financial leadership by appointing Amanda Wolstenholme as the new financial director. Meanwhile, Emma Pearce re-joins the agency as an account director after gaining experience as a global PR manager at Pukka Teas. The promotion of Anna Georgieva and the addition of Lizzie Agar as senior account managers are also part of the agency’s strategic growth plan.
These leadership changes come on the heels of numerous client and project successes, including new and retained contracts with Boxpark, Printworks, Senses Whiskey, Wrexham Lager, EasiYo, and Spotlight Oral Care. This strategic realignment aims to support Carousel’s continued expansion and service offerings.
Gawen Higgins, joint managing director at Carousel, expressed enthusiasm about the new leadership structure, saying: “We’re really pleased for Tom, Rebecca, and Chloe. They have all contributed immensely to the growth and direction of the agency across their respective tenures. We’re in one of our most exciting periods of development to date, with more than 20 new clients joining us in the past 18 months, long-standing clients continuing to see value in our partnerships, as well as new services being offered, and we’re excited with how this new management structure will take us forward.”
These strategic appointments position Carousel Agency for continued growth and success in its dynamic market.
