AllSaints has opened its inaugural African store, marking a new milestone in its global expansion strategy. Located at Cairo’s Mall of Arabia, the storefront measures 2,368 square feet and commenced business on September 2. This location stocks extensive selections across AllSaints’ women’s and men’s clothing, footwear, and accessories lines.
The Cairo store features AllSaints’ revamped store design, initially introduced in Los Angeles one year prior. The design maintains the brand’s industrial aesthetics while incorporating a lighter, more contemporary feel. This represents a strategic move to enhance the in-store experience, aligning with the brand’s modern identity.
AllSaints has been active in international development, with recent store inaugurations in cities such as Shanghai, the brand’s debut in mainland China, and others in Taiwan, South Korea, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico, and Spain. These openings underscore AllSaints’ commitment to scaling its physical retail footprint globally.
The expansion into Egypt is not unforeseen, given the strong demand AllSaints has already experienced in the country. Since March 2024, its products were accessible in Egypt through high-end department stores such as Dstore and Ofive. This demand indicates a promising market for further growth.
CEO Peter Wood expressed confidence in the store’s potential impact, stating, “We already know there is strong demand for AllSaints in Egypt, having been present in some of the country’s most premium department stores since March. I am confident that the arrival of our standalone store will only strengthen our position in the country and wider region.” The CEO also highlighted the success of their broader international operations, emphasizing ongoing growth in Europe and Asia.
The launch of AllSaints’ store in Egypt signifies a strategic expansion into Africa, enhancing its global presence.
