Everything Tech Group, known for its expertise in managed IT services, has made a significant acquisition by taking over Codus. Codus is notable for its specialization in digital solutions tailored for architectural and construction sectors. This acquisition was facilitated by a strategic loan from NatWest earlier in the year, aimed at supporting Everything Tech’s growth strategy.
Codus was founded in 2008 by Lee Hunt and has developed a unique niche within the IT industry, catering specifically to the technology needs of architectural practices. The firm focuses on providing IT solutions that address complex requirements, such as the management of large design files and support for hybrid working models, alongside robust security measures needed for safeguarding architectural plans.
Lee Hunt, the managing director of Codus, explained, ‘Architects face unique challenges when it comes to adopting cloud solutions, largely due to the size and nature of their design files. Our intimate knowledge of the sector combined with our tailored IT services ensure these firms can operate securely, quickly and cost-effectively, removing the time restraints traditionally associated with this type of work.’
With this acquisition, Everything Tech Group aims to integrate Codus into its operations while allowing it to benefit from additional resources and expertise. This strategic move not only enriches Everything Tech’s offerings but also helps Codus continue to operate under its own brand, offering an expanded range of services to its clientele.
Mark Allen, founder and CFO of Everything Tech Group, remarked, ‘Codus’ expertise in the architectural space complements and strengthens our existing portfolio, further aligning with our vision to provide leading technology and IT solutions across the UK’s largest industries.’
Tom Murray, Vice President of UK Financing Solutions at NatWest, expressed support for Everything Tech Group’s growth ambitions, stating, ‘We are delighted to support Everything Tech Group’s ambitious growth plans. At NatWest, we are proud to champion businesses by offering financing solutions that unlock strategic growth opportunities.’
The acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic moves by Everything Tech Group, which started as MITSG in 2021. Since then, it has expanded rapidly through several acquisitions, including IT Farm, CSS Group, Nexbridge Communications, and others.
The acquisition of Codus reinforces Everything Tech Group’s market position, enabling a broader reach and better service for the architecture and construction sectors.
