Factory International’s annual Factory Sounds programme is enhancing its support for musicians in Greater Manchester, expanding from ten to fifteen spots. Thanks to a new partnership with adidas Originals, the program now offers more resources to foster local talent.
The scheme provides each of the fifteen selected participants with a £1,000 grant. This financial support is intended to aid in the creation of new projects, granting access to recording studios and offering opportunities for collaboration and learning through peer networks and masterclasses.
These masterclasses cover essential topics such as artist management and promotion, preparing participants to succeed in the music industry. Originally launched to assist musicians during the Covid-19 pandemic, Factory Sounds continues to support a diverse array of musicians, producers, and industry professionals.
To date, the program has supported numerous artists, allowing them to finance releases, establish music management companies, and equip recording studios. This year’s participants will enjoy enhanced mentoring and specialized workshops, laying a robust foundation for their future endeavors.
Led by Factory International, the initiative highlights the organization’s commitment to nurturing underrepresented voices in the music sector, particularly from the grassroots community. It aligns with Factory International’s broader mission to support local artists and promote a vibrant cultural scene in Greater Manchester.
The Factory Sounds initiative, bolstered by new partnerships, continues to be an essential platform for emerging musicians in Greater Manchester.
