Matalan has unveiled its latest Christmas campaign, crafted by McCann Manchester, under the brand platform: ‘We get it, we’ve got you.’ The television ad spotlights The Melling family, who find their holiday festivities humorously interrupted by typical family issues such as board game disagreements and the lack of wrapping paper, events familiar to many during the holiday rush.
Charlotte Dewhurst, Matalan’s Director of Marketing, reflects on the campaign’s appeal: ‘Grab the popcorn, our Christmas TV ad for 2024 is here! I think we can all relate to the Melling’s, where the realities of getting everyone picture perfect at Christmas time are the parts that don’t make it to Instagram! But, at Matalan we get it and we’ve got our customers during this fun but hectic season,’ she shares.
The advertisement will be widely broadcast on several UK television channels, including ITV, Channel 4, Sky, and various digital platforms, throughout November and December. This broad airing strategy aims to reach a diverse audience, reinforcing Matalan’s presence during a key shopping period.
