Travel Counsellors has experienced a significant surge in sales at the onset of its new financial year. The company, recognized as the UK’s largest technology platform for travel entrepreneurs, reported sales of £17.5 million in the first week of December 2024. This represents a substantial 31% increase from the same period last year, signaling an unprecedented start to the month.
Over the financial year starting November 1, 2024, the company achieved total sales of £114 million, marking a 19% increase year on year. This growth trajectory continues to showcase the company’s momentum, especially after recently hitting the £1 billion sales milestone. A significant portion of these sales, around £8.6 million, was generated from the premium leisure market, evidencing a 38% increase in this sector.
A key contributor to this growth has been the popularity of Travel Counsellors’ bespoke packages. More than half of the early December sales were attributed to tailored TC packages, alongside the TC Journeys platform. This platform, featuring over 266 unique itineraries, has supported 339 customer inquiries with personalized quotes in recent weeks. This continued focus on customization and innovation has solidified Travel Counsellors’ position as a leading tour operator.
The most favored destinations for clients have included the USA, Spain, Greece, UAE, and the Maldives, highlighting a diverse range of travel interests. Moreover, corporate travel sectors have also expanded, with UK corporate sales increasing by 12%, reaching £23.8 million over the period in question.
Steve Byrne, CEO of Travel Counsellors, attributes this success to the dedicated efforts of the community. Byrne emphasizes that the company’s achievements are not only a matter of numbers but reflect the collective passion and commitment of their community. “Our strong sales growth at the start of our new financial year is a direct reflection of the dedication and passion of our entire Travel Counsellors community,” Byrne stated. The focus remains on integrating advanced technology with personal service to empower entrepreneurs, which continues to be a driving force in their strategy.
The annual “30 Beyond” conference held in Manchester in November further reinforced Travel Counsellors’ strategic vision for the future, aligning their technological capabilities with a human touch to enhance customer experiences. Byrne added his optimism for the future, foreseeing continued success by harnessing their collective strengths.
Travel Counsellors’ remarkable start to the financial year underscores a promising trajectory driven by strategic innovation and community dedication.
