By examining 11 factors such as monthly rent, green space, and childcare options, cities have been ranked for their suitability for working parents.
London stands out as the premier city, striking a balance between work and family life. Despite the city’s higher monthly rental and utility costs, it offers an impressive array of activities for children. In total, London boasts 724 activities, along with 181 playgrounds, 168 entertainment centers, and 92 sports camps, cementing its position at the top of the list.
Following closely is Belfast, which earns its position mainly through its abundant green spaces, comprising 44.52% of the city. Community gardens, parks, and squares offer families ample space to enjoy outdoors. Additionally, Belfast’s safety index score of 53.69 makes it an excellent choice for ensuring both business success and family security.
Ranking third is Leeds, which excels in educational infrastructure with 169 schools and 170 nurseries. Beyond academia, the city offers lush environments, with 41.90% of its expanse designated as green space, providing families ample opportunity for exploration.
Liverpool stands out for providing the lowest monthly unit rental costs among the top cities, at £815.62. This affordability allows businesses to allocate more resources towards growth and family needs.
On the other hand, Newcastle upon Tyne ranks high due to its notable safety score of 61.97, ensuring a secure environment for both business operations and family life.
