Barbour has introduced its new Christmas advert for 2024, once again featuring the beloved character, Shaun the Sheep. With a focus on the joy of giving during the festive season, this campaign aims to touch the hearts of viewers.
This marks the second time Barbour has collaborated with Aardman Studios, known for their animation prowess, bringing Shaun the Sheep to the forefront of their holiday campaign. The setting is the familiar Mossy Bottom Farm, where the storyline unfolds.
The advert sees Bitzer, the loyal sheepdog, attempting to lead Shaun and his flock in singing Christmas carols. However, they encounter difficulty as the cold weather hampers their efforts. To remedy this, Bitzer fetches Barbour hats and scarves, enabling the flock to continue spreading holiday cheer.
In addition to the heartwarming commercial, Barbour has launched 30 limited-edition wax jackets inspired by Shaun the Sheep. These exclusive jackets will be available for purchase online and in select Oxfam stores, with all proceeds benefiting the charity.
Paul Wilkinson, Barbour’s group commercial director, expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration with Aardman, citing shared values such as quality and craftsmanship. Wilkinson emphasized the multi-generational appeal of both brands, which played a significant role in shaping this campaign. Furthermore, supporting Oxfam aligns with Barbour’s commitment to charitable initiatives.
Barbour’s 2024 Christmas campaign illustrates the power of collaboration and giving, capturing the festive spirit with creativity and warmth.
