Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) is actively collaborating with UK wholesalers to support the FareShare charity this festive season, with a goal to donate up to 300,000 meals to those in need. This campaign aligns with CCEP’s previous charitable efforts, through which they have already provided seven million surplus soft drinks to the charity since 2017.
CCEP has introduced a promotional initiative, running until January 6, 2025, where every purchase of a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar 6x2L pack at participating Booker wholesale depots results in a donation of five meals to FareShare. Similarly, at Unitas and Bestway depots, buying a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar 12x500ml pack triggers a donation of five meals.
Additionally, CCEP will donate the equivalent of one meal for each person attending the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck tour this holiday season, with an aim to donate up to one million meals through FareShare. These efforts aim to address the growing concern of food insecurity exacerbated by the cost-of-living crisis.
Ruth Fawcett, CCEP’s Associate Director for Wholesale and Convenience, expressed hope that these initiatives will significantly benefit communities, noting the substantial support from wholesale customers. Their involvement is seen as crucial in combating hunger across the UK during the Christmas period.
Furthermore, Kirsty Ford, FareShare’s Head of Fundraising, highlighted the value of CCEP’s contributions in preventing food waste and providing meals to those in need. She remarked, “By purchasing Coca-Cola Zero Sugar products this winter, wholesalers can help people affected by the cost-of-living crisis come together through food.”
CCEP’s partnership with UK wholesalers represents a significant effort to combat food insecurity during the holiday season through strategic donations.
