Frasers Group has officially opened its new flagship store at Meadowhall in Sheffield, signaling a significant shift as it works towards phasing out the House of Fraser brand. This ‘next-generation’ department store spans 100,000 square feet and is spread across two floors, offering an array of products including men’s, women’s, and kids’ fashion, beauty products, footwear, and homeware. Among the brands featured are Ganni, Rains, and Nobody’s Child, alongside footwear and accessory labels such as Ugg, Longchamp, and Coach.
The ground floor of this expansive space is dedicated to a beauty hall that showcases an assortment of emerging and renowned beauty, hair, and fragrance brands, including Creed, Clarins, and ghd. Notably, this store hosts Frasers Home concept, the largest to date, featuring specialized homeware brands supported by the group’s Sofa.com business. At the forefront, the store has teamed up with Pret-a-Manger to provide a convenient food-to-go option, enriching the overall shopping experience.
A distinctive feature of the second floor is the inclusion of the Sports Direct fascia occupying 55,000 square feet. This area presents an impressive lineup of sports brands such as Nike, Under Armour, adidas, Asics, On Running, and Puma. It also integrates the Evans Cycles store, complete with a bike workshop offering a wide selection of bikes, parts, accessories, and clothing, establishing itself as a leader in the market. The Sports Direct section introduces an outdoor concept and a state-of-the-art running section that houses a running gait analysis machine, assisting consumers in identifying the optimal running gear.
Furthermore, this flagship boasts the newly launched Nike Football department, a concept making its second appearance within the retailer, the first being in its London flagship. The managing director of premium and luxury at Frasers Group, David Epstein, emphasized the group’s dedication to setting new retail standards, stating, “Our Frasers Meadowhall flagship store demonstrates the group’s commitment to setting a new benchmark in retail and creating exceptional shopping destinations.” He highlighted the strong partnerships with renowned premium and lifestyle brands that fulfill the aim of crafting an inspiring and engaging shopping environment.
