- The decision allows a focus on LF Markey’s core offerings.

Louise Markey, the founder of LF Markey, has made the strategic decision to place Meadows, her sister label, on indefinite hiatus. This move is part of her plan to streamline operations and concentrate efforts on LF Markey’s core business. As a result, Meadows, which had been established as a more feminine, prairie-inspired counterpart to the workwear-focused LF Markey brand, will cease its operations.
Meadows was founded in 2019 and quickly gained popularity for its unique style, being stocked by 30 independent retailers in the UK and 50 across the US, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, and France. Despite its success, the complexity and labor-intensive nature of Meadows have led Markey to pivot her resources back to LF Markey, which specializes in workwear for women and children, including signature denim and corduroy boilersuits.
Louise Markey expressed her bittersweet sentiments regarding the closure, stating, “[Meadows] has brought me much joy to work on this label over the last five years, but the time has come to simplify things, in both my life and workplace.” This reflects her personal decision to prioritize and manage limited time and resources effectively.
The remaining stock of Meadows’s collection is currently available for purchase through its direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform, marking the last opportunity for consumers to acquire these distinctive pieces. The announcement signals a significant moment for Louise Markey as she refocuses her entrepreneurial efforts on the LF Markey brand, ensuring it remains robust and capable of meeting market demands efficiently.
Markey’s decision marks a pivotal change in business focus, prioritizing LF Markey’s growth.
