The British Fashion Council (BFC) has unveiled the dates for the upcoming London Fashion Week SS25. The event is scheduled to take place between 12 and 17 September 2025, aiming to avoid overlaps with the Milan Fashion Week, which commences at 3pm on 17 September. This strategic timing is intended to maximize exposure for designers, allowing them to showcase their work to a broad, traveling trade audience.
In a collaborative effort, the BFC worked with its international counterparts—the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM), and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)—to synchronize the spring/summer 2025 calendar. This collaboration highlights a unified approach in the global fashion industry, ensuring that each fashion week stands out without competing for attention.
The confirmed schedule also sets the framework for subsequent fashion weeks. New York will kick off the season from 6 to 11 September, followed by London, then Milan from 17 to 23 September, and Paris from 23 September to 1 October. Such a sequence not only facilitates logistics for attendees but also maintains the momentum of fashion showcases worldwide.
Looking ahead, the BFC has also released dates for the autumn/winter 2025 season, with London Fashion Week AW25 slated for 20 to 24 February 2025. Preceding this will be New York Fashion Week from 13 to 18 February, followed by Milan from 25 February to 3 March, and concluding with Paris Fashion Week from 3 to 11 March. Additionally, London Fashion Week Men’s will be held on 12 to 15 June 2025.
This year’s iteration marks the 40th anniversary of London Fashion Week and celebrated with a new, public-facing format that included panel discussions and celebrity catwalk appearances. This evolution in presentation underscores an adaptation to contemporary expectations and engagement with a broader audience.
These strategic preparations underscore a concerted effort to elevate global fashion synchrony and prominence.
