Primark is broadening its click-and-collect service, adding menswear and homeware for the first time in 54 additional UK locations, which will be operational by Christmas.
- The service initially launched in 2022 across 25 stores and expanded through 2023, with womenswear added in April of that year.
- Primark aims to include click-and-collect in all 184 stores across England, Wales, and Scotland by the end of 2025.
- This initiative coincides with Primark’s 50th anniversary on the British high street, following a £100m investment in the UK market.
- Primark believes the service enhances local high street shopping by providing convenient access to a wider range of products.
Primark has announced a significant expansion of its click-and-collect service to include menswear and homeware in 54 new locations across the UK, ready for the upcoming Christmas shopping period. This move marks the first time these categories will be available through the service. The expansion comes after positive feedback from previous phases, which started in November 2022 with 25 stores in the North West of England, North Wales, and Yorkshire. In the following year, the service was extended to 32 additional stores in and around London, and womenswear was added to the offerings.
By the end of 2025, Primark seeks to roll out the click-and-collect service to all 184 of its stores across England, Wales, and Scotland. This strategic move is a part of the retailer’s broader goal to enhance the shopping experience for its customers, particularly at a time when convenience and variety are highly valued by consumers.
Primark’s UK retail director, Kari Rodgers, remarks on the milestone of 50 years on the British high street, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing affordable fashion and expanding access to their product range through innovative solutions like click-and-collect. “We know our customers love its convenience and the opportunity to access our wider ranges typically only found in larger stores,” she noted.
In addition to the service expansion, Primark is investing over £100 million in its UK operations this year. This investment includes opening three new stores, relocating three existing locations, and extending two others, ensuring the brand remains at the forefront of retail service. The integration of click-and-collect not only promises to enhance consumer interaction with local high streets but also reinforces Primark’s adaptability in a competitive retail environment.
Primark’s strategic expansion of its click-and-collect service underlines its commitment to enhancing customer convenience and supporting local high streets.
