Sealskinz, recognized for its waterproof and breathable products, has embarked on a new venture by opening its inaugural bricks-and-mortar store in London’s Marylebone Village. This move signifies the brand’s commitment to expanding its reach and enhancing its customer engagement.
The decision to establish a permanent location comes after a successful pop-up store operated from November to January last year at 29 Marylebone Lane. The new store, occupying 1,000 square feet across two floors, will now be a key feature of the vibrant shopping district.
Recently introduced, the store’s ‘Vitae’ clothing line and the brand’s first running collection aim to augment the existing range of waterproof accessories like hats, gloves, and socks.
Ray Kelvin, who acquired a majority stake in Sealskinz in 2022, expresses his vision for evolving the brand beyond its accessory heritage. By integrating outdoor clothing with technical attributes, he hopes to firmly position Sealskinz within the fashion industry.
Kelvin remarked, “. . . it is great to have a permanent presence in the area. I don’t want this to be just another store, but a hub for the entire Sealskinz community.” The store will host events such as running clubs and workshops, fostering a sense of community among its customers.
The opening of this store marks a pivotal moment for Sealskinz as it seeks to broaden its influence and connect with a broader audience.
