Several UK-based fashion brands have demonstrated significant growth by securing positions on the prestigious Sunday Times 100 list. Among these is Manchester’s Adanola, which has ranked 7th with an astonishing compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 202%, underscoring its rapid expansion in the athleisure market.
Passenger, an outdoor clothing label from Hampshire, experienced a slight decline in its ranking to 14th place this year. However, it remains a key player, achieving a CAGR growth of 171%, making it the second-fastest growing fashion retail business in the UK, only surpassed by Adanola.
Manchester’s influence in the fashion industry is further exemplified by Castore, which holds the 34th position on the list. In addition, Poole-based ThruDark and Redditch’s AYBL Group have also distinguished themselves, appearing at 61st and 100th positions, respectively. AYBL Group, a notable alumnus of Drapers 30 Under 30, was recognized as the fastest-growing UK business in 2022.
The dominance of Manchester continues as Adanola is joined by other city-based brands such as Six Stories, which secured the 15th position, Club L London at 54th, and menswear brand Represent at 68th. This concentration of top-performing brands highlights Manchester as a powerhouse in the UK fashion scene.
