In a noteworthy development, two prominent professional services firms, Shakespeare Martineau and Marrons, are relocating their offices from Queen Square to a cutting-edge hub in One Temple Quay, Temple Back East. These entities form part of the diversified legal and professional services group, Ampa. This strategic move signifies a commitment to fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment that aligns with their long-term development goals.
The exclusive new office space is outfitted with 30 workstations and four dedicated meeting rooms. Additionally, it offers shared access to open-plan collaboration zones, breakout areas, and a cycle storage facility. It caters to events with a state-of-the-art 140-seat auditorium and includes an onsite dining venue. The extensive amenities are designed to create a dynamic and flexible workspace, conducive to both employee satisfaction and client engagement.
Nick Jones, the co-head of Shakespeare Martineau’s Bristol hub, commented on the relocation: ‘It was time for us to move to a space that better reflects our empowered and collaborative working ethos. Our new Bristol hub offers a modern, accessible and agile space for our people and clients to work and collaborate in, but it also provides flexibility for the space to continue to grow with us.’ His statement underscores the firm’s intention to integrate flexibility and modernity in their operations.
Tom Macklen, serving as architecture director at Marrons, expressed enthusiasm about the shift, noting, ‘Our move to this new, flexible space reflects our commitment to supporting creativity and collaboration in an environment that aligns with our values of sustainability and growth. It is great to be part of Bristol’s dynamic business landscape and we’re eager to continue expanding our presence in the region.’ His emphasis on sustainability and growth highlights the firm’s forward-thinking approach in choosing a workspace that enhances both.
Shakespeare Martineau made its entrance in Bristol back in 2022 through a merger with GL Law, bringing over 60 new team members into the fold. Following suit, Marrons expanded into the city in 2023, launching a new architecture team as part of their ambitious growth strategy focused on the South West. This relocation is a forward step in solidifying their operational base while expanding influence.
