- The latest purchase adds to Pattinson’s regional presence, marking a milestone in its expansion journey within a single year.
- The new office, adjacent to its existing headquarters, will house additional staff and expand the auction facility.
- Recent acquisitions of three estate agencies have boosted Pattinson’s branch network across the North East to 30 locations.
- Group Managing Director Justin Beckwith attributes the growth to increased awareness and demand for auction services.
North East estate agency, Pattinson, has grown its presence with the acquisition of a new office, adjacent to its current headquarters in Silverlink Business Park, North Tyneside. The firm’s strategic decision to expand office space aligns with a growing demand for its services.
This latest office addition follows the company’s acquisition of three additional North East estate agencies earlier in the year, namely Stanley-based NS Bennett Estate Agency, as well as Ryedales Estate Agency in Cramlington, and Browns in Stockton and Norton. These acquisitions have increased the firm’s footprint to an impressive 30 branches.
The new office space is set to accommodate the additional employees hired following these acquisitions, as well as house Pattinson Auction’s operations. The increase in auction transactions is supported by the firm’s collaboration with over 3,700 partner agents throughout the UK. Group Managing Director, Justin Beckwith, highlights, “People are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of selling through auction.”
Financial growth is apparent at Pattinson, which reported a turnover of £14.7 million in its most recent accounts for 2022. The company plans to occupy the ground floor of the newly acquired office while maintaining a tenant on the first floor. This expansion reflects not only an increase in physical space but also in business operations, as the firm continues on its upward trajectory.
Launched in 1977, Pattinson now employs over 300 individuals, dealing in residential, commercial property sales and lettings, auctions, conveyancing, property management, and financial services.
Chris Pearson, a partner at the selling agency Naylors Gavin Black, praised the acquisition, describing the property as “fitted out to a high standard and in a great location so should be a sound investment.”
Pattinson’s strategic expansion through acquisition underscores its commitment to meeting the rising demand for estate agency and auction services.
