The adjoining structures, 2 Colmore Square and Cannon House, positioned on The Priory Queensway, are being transformed and rebranded into an innovative urban space known as ‘Multistory’. The design plan envisions an eight-story building showcasing 75,000 square feet of new Grade A office space alongside 15,000 square feet of amenity-rich areas intended for tenant use.
The building’s entrance off Colmore Square is set to undergo substantial renovations, resulting in a modernized reception area linked to calm and quiet work zones. These enhancements aim to cater to professionals seeking a conducive environment for concentration and productivity. Moreover, the development incorporates a second reception off The Old Square, which is to function as a versatile area for both occupiers and visitors, providing informal seating and meeting places.
Additional amenities integral to the new build include co-working spaces, bookable meeting rooms, and a state-of-the-art auditorium capable of accommodating up to 100 individuals. An expansive 2,000 square foot outdoor terrace will offer open-air space, complemented by a community bar designed for social interactions and networking. These facilities are purpose-built to attract a diverse array of users, from established businesses to innovative startups.
Beneath the building, a transport hub accessed via Steelhouse Lane will provide essential support for modern commuting needs. This hub will feature charging stations for ten electric vehicles and secure locking for 286 bicycles, combined with changing rooms. In addition to support for low-emission commuting options, the design includes 70 parking spaces and retail units covering 27,000 square feet at ground and lower-ground levels, reaching out primarily onto The Priory Queensway.
