Global Telesat Communications, a prominent player in the satellite communications industry, has officially moved its headquarters to Poole, Dorset. The organization has secured 2,470 square feet of office space on the ground floor of Waterloo House within Fleets Corner Business Park, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory.
A wholly owned subsidiary of the Nasdaq-listed NextPlat Corp, Global Telesat Communications specializes in reselling cutting-edge satellite communications hardware, software, and services. Serving an impressive customer base spanning 165 countries, the UK-based firm caters to over 60,000 clients worldwide, demonstrating its expansive reach and industry influence.
The move to Fleets Corner is strategic, aligning with the company’s expanding operational needs. James Phipps, the business development manager, stated, “The relocation and upsize of our headquarters marks the next stage of growth for Global Telesat Communications. We required a location that combined quality with accessibility and breadth of amenities for staff, and nowhere else could match what is provided at Fleets Corner.”
Fleets Corner Business Park is rapidly becoming a hub for thriving companies within various sectors. With established names like Lush and TeamJobs already operating on-site, the business park provides a conducive environment fostering innovation and collaboration. Last year, Lush invested £2.3 million to expand its facilities significantly, underscoring the park’s potential as a commercial nucleus.
Stephen Bradley, director of investment management at Federated Hermes, acknowledges Fleets Corner’s strategic location. Benefiting from excellent road connections to the M27 and M3 motorways, the park allows seamless access to the South Coast’s international ports and airports. “Setting the benchmark in the region for accessibility, quality of space, and range of amenities, the commitment of a leading global business such as Global Telesat Communications to Fleets Corner is a testament to this, and we are pleased to welcome them to the community,” Bradley noted.
In brokering this significant move, several parties played crucial roles. Galena Real Estate, JLL, Goadsby, and CBRE represented Federated Hermes, while Trethowans acted on behalf of Global Telesat Communications. This collaboration underscores the business park’s appeal and its capacity to attract high-profile tenants.
The new offices, refurbished by the owner Federated Hermes, provide a modern workplace environment equipped to meet the demands of today’s communication enterprises. Complementary on-site amenities, including a Starbucks and a Travelodge hotel, enhance the professional setting and contribute to a balanced work-life environment.
Global Telesat Communications’ relocation to Fleets Corner Business Park represents an important milestone in its evolution and growth strategy.
